Getting Started

Do you service my area?

Maritime Cleaners currently services Halifax, Dartmouth and surrounding areas. If we can reach your home within one hour of Halifax/Dartmouth, we’ll clean your home!

What is included in a standard cleaning?

When you book with Maritime Cleaners, we estimate and recommend a length of time for your appointment based on the size of your home. The minimum booking time is 2.5 hours; however, we suggest booking the time recommended to ensure your cleaning professional can complete all of the tasks listed below.

If you don’t do not want  your cleaning professional to complete all of the tasks and you decide to book  for less than the recommended amount of time, please leave us some notes after you confirm your appointment so we can ensure we get all your priority areas done!

The standard cleaning provided by our contracted professionals is very thorough and includes the following:


  • Beds made
  • Clothes folded
  • Picture frames dusted
  • Floors mopped and/or vacuumed
  • Furniture and visible surfaces wiped and dusted
  • Baseboards dusted
  • Reachable vents dusted
  • Trash emptied


  • Showers / bathtubs rinsed and cleaned
  • Toilets cleaned
  • Countertops wiped
  • Sinks, faucets, and fixtures cleaned
  • Cabinet exteriors cleaned
  • Mirror cleaned
  • Towels neatly hung and/or folded
  • Floors mopped and/or vacuumed

  • Cleaning mold and bio-hazardous material
  • Deep stain removal
  • Landscaping and/or yard work
  • Garages and patios (aside from basic sweeping)
  • Extermination (insects, etc)
  • Window blinds and coverings

Do you bring your own cleaning supplies, products and equipment?

Yes, of course! But if you have a vacuum or any specific products/instructions, let us know and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Can I request special tasks or extras?

Not a problem. Simply respond to your confirmation email or log into your account and add any comments you would like to be applied to your service.

What goes into a deep cleaning?

For the bathrooms:

  • Shower door given extra attention
  • Extra attention to floors
  • Tile grouting scrubbed
  • Spot clean doors and door frames for fingerprints
  • Knick-Knacks individually cleaned
  • Front of cabinets wiped
  • Baseboards wiped



For the kitchen:

  • Sinks scrubbed and disinfected
  • Inside of range hood cleaned
  • Grease filter cleaned
  • Doors and frames spot cleaned for fingerprints/trash emptied
  • Appliances cleaned and shined
  • Knick-knack areas cleaned
  • Outside of cabinets washed, and shined
  • Baseboards wiped
  • All kitchen furniture hand wiped
  • Floor moped or vacuumed/wash or dust chairs
  • Covers microwave, refrigerator, stovetop, and dishwasher**interior cleaning upon request and extra charge**


For living areas:

  • Doors and frames spot cleaned for fingerprints
  • Ceiling fan dusted, and wiped
  • Windows sills and ledges damp wiped
  • Knick-knacks individually cleaned
  • Furniture and upholstery vaccumed
  • Carpet edges vacuumed
  • Areas accessible furniture vaccumed
  • The vent is dusted
  • Wiped down or dusted lamp shades
  • Hallways and stairs dusted, or vacuumed
  • Cushions and pillows fluffed and straightened
  • Glass tables cleaned
  • Picture frames dusted

How do I log into my account?

How do I change my address?

Log into your account and update your address in your upcoming booking. Alternatively you can can give us a call us at(902) 704-1563 and we will update your address for you.

How do I change my credit card?

Log into your account at and update your card on file.  Your new card will automatically be noted as your default

How do I book my first appointment?

Simply go to our booking form and schedule your appointment online. Alternatively you can give us a call if there are any issues at all.

Pricing & Policies

Why isn’t my coupon working?

Some discounts are for first time customers only and some are for recurring customers only. In addition, some discounts are only one-time, and will not work for future service. There might be a couple reasons why a specific discount code no longer works. Please get in touch if you have any questions.

Trust & Safety

What happens if something goes wrong during my appointment?

Definitely. Give us a call at (902)704-1563 after you book and we’ll work out the details with you.

Is my billing information kept safe and secure?

You can apply a coupon to a future appointment by logging into your account and clicking your name in the top right hand corner. You can then select “redeem voucher” and enter your code. The system will automatically apply the code to your next appointment. You can not apply your coupon to past appointment that are already completed.

Do the cleaning professionals go through a background check?

Yes they do.  We run a detailed nationwide background check on all applicants as the last step in our pre-screening process.

What is your 100% satisfaction guarantee policy?

We guarantee that our cleaners will leave your place spotless. If for whatever reason you’re not happy, let us know within 24 hours and we promise to send a cleaner out to take care of the problem for free.

What is your refund policy?

If something is not done to your expectations, please let us know. We’ll send a team out to make it right (within a 7 day window). If after our re-clean is completed and you’re still not happy with service, we offer a full refund.
